Tigers Look to Remain Unbeaten in Conference Play, Host Eagles

Joey Partin

HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, VA-Hampden-Sydney remains at home on Saturday, October 12 to try and improve to 2-0 in conference play with an ODAC-showdown against rival Bridgewater College. The Tigers are fresh off a 39-27 ODAC-opening win over Catholic. The Eagles, on the other hand, will look for their first conference win following a 29-20 loss at Shenandoah last week.

These two teams have both had great success since 2000, combining for eight of the last 12 conference championships. Bridgewater's last title came in 2005, capping off a five-year run of 6-0 marks in conference.

2007 was then the first year under head coach Marty Favret that the Tigers defeated Bridgewater and a new era was born, with the Tigers winning the title that season and having the winning edge over Bridgewater.

The last time these two met at Lewis C. Everett Stadium was in 2011 when Hampden-Sydney claimed a 28-14 victory.

Kickoff on the 5th is scheduled for 1:00 pm. To find links for audio, video, and live stats, click here. To view the game notes previewing the game, click here
