HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, VA-Hampden-Sydney will go across the country for its second round matchup with #2 Linfield in the 2013 NCAA Division III Football Championship on Saturday, November 30. The Tigers enter Saturday's game after claiming their first-ever playoff win in a 42-34 decision over Maryville. Linfield downed conference-rival Pacific Lutheran 42-21 to punch its fifth straight ticket to the second round.
Saturday will mark the first meeting between the two schools and will be the longest trip the football team has ever made.
The two teams both have potent offenses, with the Tigers averaging 35.5 points-per-game, and the Wildcats leading the nation at 53.7 points-per-game. The winner of Saturday's game will face the winner of Wisconsin-Whitewater and Franklin in the quarterfinals on December 7.
