HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, VA-Hampden-Sydney and Randolph-Macon will clash for the 119th time on Saturday, November 16, and for the third time since 2007, the two will battle on Day Field for the ODAC Championship. The Tigers took both of those meetings with a 31-13 victory in 2007 and 34-27 victory in 2009.
Though the Tigers have won two of their last three conference championships in Ashland, the Yellow Jackets have bested Hampden-Sydney in the last two meetings, with a 48-34 win in 2011 and 41-31 win in 2012.
Hampden-Sydney holds the overall edge in the series that began in 1893, with the all-time record standing at 60-47-11. Since the arrival of head coach Marty Favret, the Tigers have won nine of the last 13, including a stretch of six straight from 2001 to 2007.
This season, both teams stand at 7-2 overall and 5-1 in conference play, and each are coming off wins - the Tigers with a 35-22 decision over Washington & Lee, and the Jackets in a 35-34 thriller over Bridgewater.
