Tigers Host Hornets For First Time on Homecoming

Chris Shembo

HAMPDEN-SYDENY, VA-Hampden-Sydney will meet Shenandoah for just the second time and for the first time ever at Lewis C. Everett Stadium on Saturday, October 26. The Tigers enter the game at a perfect 3-0 in conference and 5-1 overall while the Hornets are 1-2 in the ODAC and 2-4 on the season.

The Tigers are in a three-way tie for first place in the ODAC with Randolph-Macon and Guilford. The Jackets and Quakers face off Saturday, so at the end of the week there could be one or two teams standing atop the leader board.

Hampden-Sydney is coming off of a 33-12 win over Emory & Henry in which head coach Marty Favret won his 100th game. The Hornets, however, were on the losing end of a 37-7 decision to Catholic. Shenandoah did earn its first ODAC win in a 29-20 victory over Bridgewater under first year head coach Scott Yoder.

The last time these two teams met, Hampden-Sydney took a 42-21 win at Shentel Stadium.

Kickoff on the 26th is scheduled for 1:00 pm. To find links for audio, video, and live stats, click here. To view the game notes previewing the game, click here
