Tigers Return Home to Open ODAC Play

Nash Nance

HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, VA-Hampden-Sydney will return home on Saturday, October 5 after nearly a month to open up ODAC play against the Cardinals of the Catholic University of America. The Tigers are fresh off of their bye week while the Cardinals downed Anna Maria 49-0 last Saturday.

The Tigers, picked to win the conference, will look to avenge their 41-28 defeat in Washington, D.C. last year while starting its seven-game conference slate with a win.

The game will be no easy task; despite being picked to finish last in the ODAC in the preseason poll, the Cardinals have started the year at a perfect 3-0 while leading the conference in scoring defense (7.7).

Head coach Marty Favret, a Catholic alum and former assistant coach, has had great success against his old team, posting a 10-3 overall record since his arrival on the Hill in 2000.

Kickoff on the 5th is scheduled for 1:00 pm. To find links for audio, video, and live stats, click here. To view the game notes previewing the game, click here
