Tigers Host Guilford in Pivotal ODAC Match Up

HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, VA-Hampden-Sydney and Guilford will meet for the 62nd time on Saturday with the Tigers holding a 39-22 advantage in the all-time series that began with a 10-6 Tiger win in 1920. The Tigers have won all 12 meetings under 13th year head coach Marty Favret with the last Quaker victory coming 17-15 in 1999.

This season, Hampden-Sydney and Guilford are currently two parts of a three-way tie for control of the ODAC. The victor comes away 4-1 with two games remaining on the ODAC slate, while the lose picks up its second conference loss.

The Tigers overcame an early 14-0 deficit with 35 second-quarter points in a wild 63-49 win last year in Greensboro. Kirk Rohle rushed for 139 yards and four touchdowns and caught one of Travis Lane's three touchdown passes in the game. Guilford's Zac Halbert singed the Tigers' secondary for 396 passing yards and seven touchdowns.

The two teams last met at Everett Stadium in 2010 with the Tigers winning 49-20.
