Guimaraes Awarded Gammon Cup For the third straight year and fourth time in five years, a basketball player was awarded the Gammon Cup, given to the member of the graduating class who has best served the College and whose character, scholarship, and athletic ability are deemed to be outstanding. Guilherme Guimaraes was named the 2018 recipient following his strong four years at the College.

Four Tennis Tigers Earn VaSID All-State The Hampden-Sydney tennis team posted four individuals on All-State teams as announced today by the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID). Sophomore Matthew Moody earned First Team honors at singles, while he joined brother Michael Moody on the First Team doubles list. Sophomores Grayson Burns and Clark Cummings were named to both the Second Team as individuals as well as together in doubles.

Three Lacrosse Tigers Earn USILA Scholar All-American Honors Hampden-Sydney College lacrosse senior captains Hunter Brown, Kent Henry and Ian Levin continued to rack up post season awards, being named Scholar All-Americans by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) on Monday.
